Desk study and site investigation following demolition of a large residential estate as part of a large scale suburban regeneration plan. Site investigation comprised trial pits, dynamic continuous sampling boreholes, cable percussive and rotary cored boreholes. Production of interpretive reports including a contamination assessment and geotechnical recommendations for earthworks and foundation options.

Fieldwork comprised cable percussion boreholes, static cone testing, trial trenches and plate loading tests to determine ground conditions, including competency of engineered fill and depth to bedrock to enable plot specific foundation solutions to be developed. Foundation solutions comprised piles, raft foundation and conventional foundations.
