As a company we employ specialised field technicians for Gas and Groundwater Monitoring at investigation sites. We are also pleased to offer gas and groundwater monitoring as a standalone service for use by external clients for their own projects.
Gas and Groundwater Monitoring
We utilise a combination of monitoring equipment in order to obtain the most accurate readings possible. A Geotechnical Instruments GA2000 Infra Red Gas Analyser is used to provide measurement of methane, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide, oxygen and atmospheric pressure and a Gas Data GF60 flow meter is used to measure gas flow ranges.
Both gas and groundwater sampling services are also available, with methods of obtaining water ranging from mini down hole pumps to inertial pumping systems (waterra) or bailed sampling. A discrete sampling method, to obtain samples from specific depths within the installation is also available.
Gas and groundwater sampling can be conducted during any phase of the monitoring visit, either pre or post purge. Gas samples are commonly obtained in both Gresham Tubes and Tedlar bags. If the projects monitoring specification requires, wells can be developed by our technicians to ensure that samples obtained are representative of the entire site regime rather than localised areas.
