About Us- News

 

At Geotechnical Developments (UK) Ltd we pride ourselves on being a professional and friendly geotechnical and geo-environmental consultancy with the aim of satisfying the specific individual requirements of our clients. We achieve this with a mixture of innovative ideas, attention to detail, conscientious customer service and almost 20 years experience within the industry.
 
The company was formed as a partnership in April 1989 and listed as a limited company in May 1996 after a period of sustained growth. Since then the reputation and stature of Geotechnical Developments (UK) Ltd has continued to grow nationally, leading to the opening of a regional office in the North of England in 2007 to make our services more accessible to our ever increasing list of clients.
 
We have completed over 4,000 ground investigations and consultancy projects for a wide range of clients from within the civil engineering, building and environmental industry.
 
Our team and support consists of:
 
         Full time Engineers and Geologists
         Monitoring technicians
         CAD/ Ground Modelling technicians
         Administrative/support staff
         Drillers
         Fleet of support vehicles and latest equipment
 
All our staff (nearly 30 in strength) work under a continued professional development (CPD) scheme to ensure they are at the leading edge of their professions.
 
They include members of the following professional and trade associations: AGS (Committee Member), CIRIA, Institute of Highways and Transportation, British Geological Society, BDA (Chairman on Working Group for standards on Dynamic Sampling), International Association of Hydrogeologists, Institution of Mining and Metallurgy, ICE, International Association of Engineering Geology, Midland Geotechnical Society.
 
All our field staff and operatives have undergone Health & Safety training, achieved the CSCS qualifications and are First Aid trained.
